What made you choose Flipdish?
I have a background in hospitality, love technology and genuinely believe in our product - it made perfect sense to join Flipdish!
What do you enjoy most about working at Flipdish?
The people! Flipdish encourages everyone to have a voice and there are no egos - your ideas are listened to and you’ll be trusted to deliver them. The fridge in the office is also full of free food and drink which is naturally a bonus :-)
What is the most exciting thing you are working on at the moment?
There’s always something to do at Flipdish - when I started back in July 2021, I thought the work would solely focus around our Talent attraction strategy. Whilst that did and continues to happen, I have also been involved in the rebuild of our careers page, employer branding initiatives, recruitment marketing, systems onboarding, build of our diversity and inclusion strategy…the list goes on - it’s great to work on so many different projects at once.
How do you feel about working in a Remote First company?
Initially - I wasn’t sure. I worked on sales floors for over 6 years so this was a big change. Flipdish has an open door policy, our London (and other) offices are open to those that want to go in. I personally choose to go into our office 2-3 days a week, chatting to colleagues and enjoying a beer after work is great - but the flexibility is even better, the ability to work from home and the flexibility is now a crucial part of my work life balance.
What are you doing when you’re not at work?
Being a dad to my very needy dog, Gary (pictured above!). I am also into my Rugby and sport in General - In truth, most of my free time is spent googling where I am going to eat out (both in London and abroad!).
