With 13 current operating locations, and five new locations opening in the next six months, Abhishek Mediratta, founder and managing partner of Fresh Burrito, is busy.
During the pandemic, with a limit on customers coming to the store, Abhishek took control of Fresh Burrito’s online ordering and launched its own Flipdish-powered app.
“I’ve been using Flipdish for a little over seven months. Believe it or not, within two days, we were online, we were live. The journey has been amazing.”

For Abhishek, ease of process and communication is essential. “We have a dedicated accounts rep. He is always there and he is fabulous.”
Working with third-party marketplaces was expensive for Fresh Burrito. “They guys take a huge chunk of your revenue and with very little support,” says Abhishek.
“Overall, we’re very happy with Flipdish. It checked all the boxes I was looking for: ease of doing business, support and costs.”
Moving to Flipdish has increased profits
While discussing marketplaces, Abihshek laments the lack of transparency, the lack of access to customer data and the lack of ability to contact customers.
Since moving from third-party marketplaces to Flipdish, Abihshek cites significant savings. “In terms of cost, you pay 1/7th of the cost you would pay to third-party app platforms.”
Push notifications within the app and inbuilt loyalty programmes are two of Abihshek’s favourite features of Flipdish technology.
“It does help us with upselling more products to the customer. If somebody has ordered a burrito, they will prompt you to order a drink. So that really enhances sales and the experience.”
